Remove hearing barriers and support communication confidence

When someone struggles to hear, everyday moments in school, communication, and daily routines can become challenging.

Our Audiology Program supports infants, children, and adults with autism spectrum disorder, fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, and other intellectual or developmental disabilities who also experience hearing challenges.

Our audiologists provide:

• Hearing assessments
• Counselling and education to help you understand hearing needs
• Recommendations and prescriptions for hearing aids and assistive devices
• Referrals to other Speech-Language Services
• Referrals to our Wax Management Clinic for safe wax removal, if applicable

What to expect

Inquire

Once you inquire, we’ll confirm your referral and eligibility. We’ll then be in touch to start the registration process and connect you with an audiologist.

Hearing test

Most clients will start with a hearing test to understand the extent and causes of their hearing challenges.

Recommendations

During scheduled appointments, your audiologist will work closely with you to identify priority goals. This may include strategies such as counselling, hearing devices, or referrals to other Speech-Language services, such as our Wax Management Clinic.
